Welcome to Trailside Yoga

I believe we stand at the crossroads of life more than once in a lifetime. It can be a beautiful place, and it can be a scary place.  In March 2016, I decided to change directions and turn down a different path. It proved to be the right choice.  I spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica training with Marianne Wells, completed my 200 hour module and became a Registered Yoga Teacher. I started teaching out of my home studio and then expanded to various local studios in the Caledon area.

2019 was another year of growth as I moved forward on my path and expanded my skill set. I trained with Deanna Villa at TMT and became a certified Thai Massage Practitioner.   In the fall of 2020, working solely out of my home studio was perfect, but wanting to expand, we renovated a larger studio and opened Trailside Yoga at The Forks of the Credit Inn just around the corner from us.  When Covid-19 forced us inside and to close the doors on the studios, we turned to new online platforms to continue our yoga practice and to help bring a little bit of calm to a world in chaos. Fast forward to June of 2022, with the help of some good friends and a lot of work by my husband, we have a pretty amazing yurt tucked in the trees, just a quick stroll from our house. I am very excited to share this space with you in addition to the online classes that let me reach friends across various borders and time zones.

I appreciate everyone who has shown up to a class, either live in the yurt or online. I strive to make my classes accessible and to provide a combination of movement for the body and stillness for the mind.

I close every class with my hands at my heart center and namaste. This literally means "I bow to you". It is also a sign of deep gratitude and respect to those in my class and to my teachers. Thank you for being here and I hope to see you on the mat soon!

Robin challenges without pushing, is super supportive of all levels, makes every class fun and interesting and is always the quickest one to share a giggle.
